Hallmark Data Systems provides subscription fulfillment, e-mail, web and database services for 70 media clients representing over 500 publications. Steve has been in his role since January and is responsible for Hallmark Data Systems' product and services offerings. Steve spent 15 years at Time Inc. in the Consumer Marketing division where he led all Consumer Marketing activities for Time Inc.’s Southern Progress division in Birmingham, AL and later was responsible for New Business Acquisition across print, web and email for all 20 Time Inc. brands at the corporate offices in New York. 

Steve earned his Bachelors and Masters Degrees in Business from the University of Alabama. He currently lives in Chicago, IL with his wife, Gisele, and three daughters, Darcy, Allie and Lauren. Steve, an avid runner, is currently training for the Chicago Marathon in October and has pledged to raise $1,500 while running for the National Heart Association. Goodluck Steve!

Eric Holden is Modern Luxury Media’s Vice President of Audience Development reporting directly to the President. He is responsible for developing, targeting and segmenting audience and distribution for 30+ luxury lifestyle products in online, app and print formats. After rechanneling all print distribution and launching over twenty magazines, Eric was instrumental in creating digital versions of each Modern Luxury Media product both online and in the iTunes store. By aggregating these audiences, he has given the national sales force a new revenue stream of more than 180,000 luxury email users and 300,000 app downloads. This new digital media platform has included custom app development, FrontDesk, and email product creation in both consumer marketing, Now In Modern Luxury, and business marketing, As Seen In.

Prior to joining Modern Luxury Media, Holden led all marketing communications for the big-box specialty retailer Guitar Center. His broad-based experience includes advertising, promotional and corporate communication campaigns for both consumer and business-to-business audiences. With close to two decades of experience in specialty retail and luxury marketing, he has become a true expert in both the data and the demography of audience development. Holden has a bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Los Angeles and has served on the Board of Directors of Fourth magazine and the Silver Lake Chamber of Commerce.

Jared Katzman is the Vice President of Sales & Marketing at Thumb Media Group (TMG), a company that produces custom mobile applications for content brands that run across iPhone, Android, Blackberry and iPad. Jared spent the past six years working with publishers to increase their distribution and create revenue generation opportunities in digital publishing. Prior to his post at TMG, he most recently was principle of a digital publishing consulting business overseeing sales, marketing strategy and client services for publishers. On the print side of the business, Jared has extensive experience in direct response marketing for consumer magazines as well as new business development. Jared spent eight years working in print publishing at US News, NewsWeek and Sports Illustrated.

Meg brings more than 20 years of experience to the direct marketing and publishing fields. She worked for a magazine circulation consulting company in Connecticut and publishers in New York, Minnesota and San Francisco before hanging out her own shingle as a consultant 17 years ago. Barbara is the Group Circulation Director at Active Interest Media, owner of 16 special interest magazines. Barbara’s main focus is on AIM’s two largest titles, Yoga Journal and Backpacker.  After 7 ½ years as Circulation Director of Yoga Journal, Barbara was promoted to Group Circulation Director at Active Interest Media, who bought Yoga Journal in September 2006. 

Barbara began working at Yoga Journal as Circulation Director in March 1999, when the circulation was 110,000. Under her direction, the circulation grew to 325,000 and the following circulation awards have been given to Yoga Journal:

Ian Huckabee is a Web marketing strategist and technologist. He specializes in building community and brand awareness for businesses and organizations through social media and search engine marketing by developing integrated strategies and campaigns.

Ian began building websites in 2000 with a focus on search engine optimization, and early on he recognized the marketing relevance of social media. Teresa acts as senior vice president, publisher member audit and report processing services, for the Audit Bureau of Circulations (ABC), the world’s first and largest circulation-auditing organization and North America’s preferred circulation auditor.

Perry oversees two critical publisher-facing divisions at ABC: Publisher Relations and Technical Review and Report Processing (TRRP).

Perry led the development of the Publisher Relations division since its inception in 2001, with a goal of helping educate, advise and train publisher members on ABC rules and policies. The group has been successful in implementing an array of popular training workshops and seminars called the Professional Circulator Series regionally and online. Perry and her staff are also often invited to speak at various industry conferences and meetings.

Perry also heads up the ABC's TRRP group, which reviews, processes and adjusts member statements such as Publisher's Statements, FAS-FAX, Audit Reports, IVS and more. Under Perry's leadership, TRRP has added time-saving conveniences for publisher members, such as online surveys, worksheets and the online filing tool, which is used by over 70 percent of publisher members to file their Publisher's Statements and FAS-FAX.
